My first belly picture

Hi everyone,
Many of you have been asking for a picture of my belly, so here you go! I just started wearing maternity clothes, which are way more comfortable. I've been pretty tired lately, but making it through the work day just fine.

All of our summer camps officially ended last Friday. It's hard to believe the summer is already over. It always goes by so quickly. We served over 20,000 kids this year at 21 different camp locations!

All is going well here. We're still waiting on news about the Hayward home that we like...the short sale process seems like it's going to take forever. We're trying not to get too sad about it knowing that there is a small chance it will work out in the end. But, we're hopeful at the same time and in the meantime we're looking for other options. We decided to not follow through on the new home in Oakland. The neighborhood was just too sketchy for us.

We've been watching the Olympics whenever we can, but everything I want to watch is on soooo late and I've been crashing by 10pm every night. Have you been enjoying the Olympics?

Tim is going to a bachelor party Friday night and I'll be hanging out with my friend Johannah for some yummy food and to see Mama Mia...a perfect ladies night. Has anyone seen it yet?

Much love to you all. Have a wonderful weekend!

16 weeks!

It's hard to believe we're already at the 4 month mark! According to our weekly updates, the baby is the size of "an apple" right now. We can't wait to find out the gender at my 20 week appointment. My tummy is starting to show a bit and it's definitely time to get some new clothes. Last weekend Anna, Dario and Pablo (Tajalli's Mom, bro, and step-father) came to visit us. We had fun playing miniature golf, doing some sight seeing and showing them 2 homes that we just made offers on!

One of the homes we absolutely love. It's downtown Hayward (2nd pic) and is close to everything within walking distance. It's a 3 bedroom and 2 bath, with a huge yard and garage. Unfortunately, it's a short sale and the sellers are potentially trying to figure out financing so they don't have to sell. We have an offer in, but right now it's just a waiting game. :-(

We found another place in Oakland that is a brand new home (built by Pulte Homes) and it's huge (first pic)! 3 bedroom 2 1/2 baths and just a big enough yard for Bubba to enjoy. The neighborhood is not so great, but it's very enticing being in a brand new home. We have a deposit down and we're going to continue to pursue this while waiting on the other home.

It's very exciting to think about the possibilities of us owning our first home, but also very scary!

Timmy (Tim's nephew), who just graduated from high school just flew in last night from Chicago and is spending the week with us....more news to come soon.

Our baby at 12 weeks!

Here is a sonogram of our baby at 12 weeks. What a miracle!

Sharing the news with Tim for the first time

I was sooo excited to share the news with Tim. The day I found out after taking an at home pregnancy test, we had planned to go to an A's baseball game. Knowing how much Tim loves baseball, I thought this would be perfect. After we got to our seats, I ended up buying some super cute baby socks and decided to give them to Tim. When I got back to our seats I said, "Hey babe, look what I bought?!" Tim was so confused and in disbelief when I then told him I was pregnant. Here is a picture from the game!

Sharing the news!

It has been so fun for us to finally be able to share the exciting news about being pregnant! Thank you so much for all of your support and shared excitement. Even though we live far away from a lot of you, our hope is that this blog can also help keep us more connected as we go through this pregnancy journey.
